Keith Bowes

Managing Director

Mr Bowes is a process engineer with ~28 years’ experience in metallurgy, mining operations and project
development. He worked in Africa, South America and Australia for some of the world’s major mining houses
before moving into the small caps / junior exploration space in 2013.

He has led various study teams that have developed a number of projects including the Panda Hill Niobium
Project located in Tanzania, the Honeymoon Uranium Project in South Australia, Sovereign Metal’s Graphite
Project in Malawi and Superior Lake Resource’s Zinc Project in Ontario, Canada.

Mr Bowes holds a BSc Chemical Engineering degree and is currently Managing Director for Lotus Resources
and a Non-Executive Director of ASX listed company Copper Strike and is a graduate of the Australian Institute
of Company Directors (AICD).

Michael Bowen

Non – Executive Chairman

Mr Bowen is a partner of the national law firm Thomson Geer. He practices primarily corporate, commercial and securities law with over 40 years of experience and emphasis on mergers, acquisitions, capital raisings and resources.

Mr Bowen holds a Bachelor of Laws, Jurisprudence and Commerce from the University of Western Australia. He has been admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia since 1979 and is also admitted as a solicitor of the High Court of Australia. He is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the Australian Society of Accountants.

Michael is regularly engaged to advise on a broad range of domestic and cross-border transactions including mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings, re-constructions, risk management, due diligence and general commercial and corporate law. His clients operate in a
range of sectors, including property, resources, technology, contracting and construction.

He has been a non-executive director of several AsX-listed companies and is currently non-executive director of Genesis Minerals Limited (ASX:GMD) and Emerald Resources Ltd (ASX:EMR).

Grant Davey

Non – Executive Director

Mr Davey is an entrepreneur with 30 years of senior management and operational experience in the development, construction and operation of global Mining & Energy projects.

He is the Chairman of Frontier Energy Limited (ASX: FHE), Director of Lotus Resources Limited (ASX: LOT) and Earths Energy Limited (ASX:EE1) and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Mark Hanlon

Non – Executive Director

Mr Hanlon has over 20 years of experience in the resources and resource services sector, as well as 10 years in commercial and merchant banking. He has a broad background of senior executive experience across a wide range of industries including mining and mining services. Mr Hanlon chairs the Audit, Risk and Remuneration Committees at Lotus.

Mr Hanlon is currently a non-executive director of Red River Resources Ltd (ASX: RVR) and has recently been a non-executive director of Waroona Energy Inc (TSX: WHE) and Copper Strike Ltd (ASX: CSE). Mr Hanlon holds a B.Bus. (Finance & Accounting) and a M.Bus. (Banking & Finance) from the University of Technology, Sydney.

Dixie Marshall

Non – Executive Director

Ms Marshall has 40 years’ experience in strategic communications and government relations; this includes crisis communications, editorial media, advocacy, reputation, stakeholder engagement, marketing and policy development.

She has held senior leadership roles in government, media, sport and advertising.

Ms Marshall is the chair of leading government relations company, GRA Partners, a board director and chief growth officer of the Marketforce Group, a commissioner of the Australian Sports Commission, deputy chair of the WA Football Commission, a Non-Executive Director of Frontier Energy Limited (ASX:FHE).

MANAGEMENT

Keith Bowes

Managing Director

Mr. Keith Bowes is a highly regarded mining executive with over 20 years of experience working on project development and operations in Africa, South America and Australia across a range of commodities and processes.

Keith project managed the Boss Resources’ redevelopment program for the Honeymoon Uranium Mine including all study phases and commercial trials of the new processing technology. As part of the study he led the development in the application of two new technologies that have redefined the Honeymoon opportunity (leach chemistry and IX resins).

Martin Stulpner

Corporate Development Manager

Martin Stulpner, CFA, MAICD has over 20 years’ experience in the mining and financial services industries, including in corporate development, M&A, strategic planning, and equity research (sell side). 

Martin’s previous senior leadership positions include GM at Aquila Resources, where Martin had accountability for Aquila’s stake in the West Pilbara Iron Ore Project (now under construction as the $3bn Onslow Iron Project), and for Aquila’s South African business.

As Director at Macquarie, Martin provided equity research of Western Australian metals and mining companies to institutional investors in Australia and globally. 

At Anglo American Ferrous Metals (FTSE 100), as VP of Strategy, Martin developed and led a global strategic planning team to facilitate informed strategic decision making by the Executive.

Michael Ball

Chief Financial Officer

Michael is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia with over 20 years experience in finance roles, including the last 10 years as Chief Financial Officer for ASX listed resource companies.

He brings significant operational experience, including project development through construction and into production, in addition to significant capital markets experience, being involved in leading and managing several project financings. He also has considerable expertise in feasibility study preparation, operational optimisation, commodity and currency risk management and contract tendering.

Theo Keyter

General Manager

Theo Keyter is a highly experienced Mine General Manager with 39 years of experience working on operations in South Africa, Sierra Leone, Malawi and Saudi Arabia across a range of commodities. Theo worked as the Project Manager on The Mponeng Deepening Project in South Africa, which is currently the deepest mining operation in the world. Theo has been the driver behind out recent cost improvement initiatives and has developed good working relations with government and other stakeholders.

Dr Grain Malunga

Country Manager

Dr Malunga’s has extensive experience in mineral resource development/evaluation, strategic environmental management, investment analysis and government business. Grain served as a Member of Parliament for Chikwawa North Constituency between May 2009 and May 2014 and as Minister of Natural Resources, Energy and Environment in Malawi from June 2009 to August 2011. He was Principal Secretary for Ministry of Irrigation and Water Development, from August 2005 to January 2007, after serving as Secretary for Industry Science and Technology from August 2004 to August 2005.

He is a member of several professional bodies including; a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, Member of the National Geographic Society, United States and is a founding member of Geological Society of Malawi where he served as Secretary General from 1999 to 2001 and Vice President from 2001 to 2003. In the cabinet, he served as chairperson for Cabinet Committee on Natural Resources, Energy and Environment and a member of Cabinet Committees on “Economy and Public Sector Reforms”, “Local Government and Rural Transformation” and “Agriculture and Food Security”. In the Parliament, he served as Chairperson for Commerce, Industry and Tourism and member of parliamentary committees on “Transport and Public Works” and “Defence and Security”. Grain has written two books entitled “Earth Science and Human Geography for Malawi” in 2013 and “An Analysis of Mineral Resources of Malawi” in 2014.

Amy Sullivan

ESG Manager

Ms Sullivan has almost 20 years’ experience in the mining industry across Australia, holding executive roles in approvals, environment, community and government relations. Whilst working with VHM Limited, Amy led the Approvals and Growth Team for the Goschen Rare Earths and Mineral Sands Project and played a key role in establishing relationships with government, local councils, and the community, as well as managing the State and Commonwealth approvals strategy, including obtaining Major Project Status. More recently, she has practiced as a Sustainability and ESG Consultant working with companies to implement ESG and sustainability strategies. Ms Sullivan holds a Bachelor of Environmental Management with Honours from the University of Notre Dame.

Catherine Anderson

Company Secretary

Catherine Anderson (B Juris (Hons), LLB (UWA)) is a legal practitioner admitted in Western Australia and Victoria with over 30 years’ experience in both high-level private practice and in-house roles, particularly in the area of capital raisings, corporate acquisitions, structuring and regulatory compliance. Catherine has advised on all aspects of corporate and commercial law and brings extensive experience over a range of industries, in particular the mining and IT/cyber security sectors.

Catherine is an experienced company secretary for both listed and unlisted public companies, and has served as a director of an ASX listed junior explorer. She has provided consultancy services to entities wishing to proceed to IPO and ASX listing, and has twice been nominated for the Telstra Business Woman of the Year Award.

Kobie Cilliers

Commercial & Project Administrator

Kobie is an management account and experienced commercial and administration professional with 38 years of experience in the mining and metals industry. He has worked for various mining companies in South Africa and was one of the first permanent employees of Paladin (Africa) Ltd back in 2008. Kobie has been vital in ensuring Lotus Resources maintains the necessary commercial contacts in country to support the current initiatives.

John Mwenelupembe

Technical Supervisor

John Mwenelupembe is a Geologist with over 25 years of experience in exploration and geo-environment work. John has been involved in the design and execution of numerous uranium exploration programs at the Kayelekera Mine since 2004. He played a key role in the exploration and feasibility studies carried out by Paladin for Kayelekera and continued this work to later include extensions of the existing ore body. John has also worked on Greenfield uranium and rare earth elements exploration projects in North Malawi. He was previously he was involved in gold, coal and industrial minerals exploration across Malawi.

Ronald Kapira

Security Manager

Ronald Kapira is a highly regarded Corporate Security Manager with over 19 years of professional experience. He previously worked for G4S in Malawi in various security supervisory and managerial positions. Over the past 11 years Ronald has been instrumental in the establishment of a formidable and skilled security guard force at Kayelekera Mine that is successfully utilising various technologically advanced surveillance security systems. He has developed policies and procedures which were crucial in eradicating pilferage, theft and related crimes at site.

Dr. Robert Rich

Sales and Marketing Executive

Robert is based in the United States and has over 30 years’ experience working as a Nuclear Fuel Consultant. During this time, he has advised a number of major US utilities in the procurement of nuclear fuels and worked with a wide range of producers in securing offtake agreements. During his career, Robert has overseen the sale of over 60Mlbs of uranium from producers and been responsible for the purchase of over US$100M annually of U3O8, conversion and enrichment for utiltities. Robert received his PhD and Masters in Geology from Harvard University before becoming a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow for the US Department of Energy (previously ERDA) also at Harvard University.

Stewart Watkins

Project Director: Kayelekera FEED Study

Stewart Watkins has over 30 years’ experience in the mining industry having completed feasibility studies, designed, constructed, commissioned and operated mining and processing projects across Australia, Africa and other international locations. Along with this, Stewart has also held executive project development roles with Continental Nickel, developing the Ntaka Hill Nickel Project in Tanzania, and IMX Resources, developing the Mt Woods magnetite project in South Australia. More recently, as General Manager Projects with Arafura Rare Earths Limited, Stewart was leading the delivery of the globally significant Nolans Rare Earth Project in the Northern Territory of Australia with responsibility for all aspects of the Project including Environment, Stakeholder Engagement and Sustainability.

Stewart is a Director of Dhamana Consulting Pty Ltd and a Fellow of the AusIMM.
